GLAZED TIN PLATE
The decoration is thought to be from a service made for the court of Maximillian III Joseph of Bavaria, Prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire and Duke of Bavaria from 1745 to 1777.
The highly distinctive flower and insect painting is almost certainly by Joseph Zächenberger (1732-1802), whose signature is recorded on a Nymphenburg porcelain jar.
